On 25 January Armin Himmelrath reads from his manual for UnihasserAm held tomorrow, Tuesday, the Student Committee (AStA) of the RWTH Aachen a free reading with Armin Himmelrath Ponts days in the M6 (Pontstraße 141-149). The author of the book “Handbook for Unihasser” tells of the daily madness of so many German universities and colleges.
Who comes these days to the university learns quickly – unfortunately, largely to fight their own: confused websites, choking thick study rules and unfriendly secretariats, one hour per week by phone, any enthusiasm in the bud. When the study began, there is hardly any better: How can it be that generations of students have to listen to lectures given since the winter semester 1984/85 no longer updated? Why are consultations held so rare that they are generally overcrowded? And how can one explain the arbitrariness in terms of performance requirements.
The hair-raising stories that Armin has collected Himmelrath act of professors, academic and non academic staff and students involved in the chaos are not entirely innocent.
Armin sky Rath was born in 1967 and studied social sciences and Germanic on teaching at the Universities of Wuppertal and Beer Sheva (Israel). Since 1986 he works as a freelance editor. His experience Dozierendensicht he collected since 2004 as a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin.
